From the age of 12, and after watching the 1964 movie "My Fair Lady" I've wanted to sell flowers and be a florist. As Henry Higgins says, "Like a real lady in a florist shop".

After leaving floristry college in 1993, I worked in a local shop in Hoddesdon my home town, and stayed until 2012. In 2009 I took a 6 month sabatical and spent it in Australia working in a florist, the amazing contrast in flowers and style they have inspire my designs to this day.

I find creating funeral flowers from loved ones one of the most rewarding parts of being a florist, the hardest arrangement I made was my own mum's funeral flowers in 2019!

In 2021, whilst COVID crippled many small businesses, I took the leap into setting up Darling Buds. The name Darling is my maiden name, it was meant to be!

With a selection of fresh blooms you can choose a Handtied bouquet, Hatbox, Basket or Jam Jar to brighten someone's day, say thank you or for that special occasion.

Please note that collection can be the same day if orders are placed before 12 noon.
